Washington Sundar Ruled Out of IPL 2021 Phase 2

A piece of disappointing news has just arrived that Washington Sundar who plays from Royal Challengers Bangalore has been ruled out of the Second Phase of IPL 2021.

The off-spinner Washington Sundar suffered a finger injury during the India tour of England, a match played between India & Select County XI.

Losing a powerful bowler from a team is a shocking truth for the fans as well as the entire team. Not only a bowler, but Washington Sundar is also an all-rounder as well.

Captain, Virat Kohli might be disappointed with this news and it’s obviously disheartening for RCB’s fans too.

A West Bengal bowler, Akash Deep will be replacing him for the rest of the IPL matches.

Washington Sundar’s past performance has been great so far. He took 3 wickets in the first phase of IPL 2021, where he played a total of 6 matches.

Royal Challengers Bangalore on Twitter said that “Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remainder of #IPL2021 as he hasn’t fully recovered from his finger injury. Akash Deep, a state cricketer from Bengal who until now was a net bowler with RCB, has been named as Washi’s replacement.”

There are some more RCB players who will be unavailable for the 2nd phase of IPL 2021. One of them being Adam Zampa who is an Australian bowler. Wanindu Hasaranga will be replacing him for the rest of the IPL matches.

RCB players, Daniel Sams, Kane Richardson & Finn Allen will be missing the 2nd leg tournament in UAE.
